Weapons Training Provided
Concealed Carry Certification/Combat Handgun Level I
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Florida CCW course completion certificate. This familiarization course consists of classroom and range time. Topics covered include: firearm safety, concealed carry methods and considerations, Florida concealed carry law, fundamentals of marksmanship and methods of effective shot delivery. It also includes loading and malfunction drills.

Concealed Carry Certification / Combat Handgun Level II
This course is the second level to Concealed Carry Certification/Combat Handgun Level I. It is a good supplement to the basic course and prepares for sudden, violent and surprise attacks. You must have attended a basic firearms course and prove shooting proficiency prior to this course. The topics covered: pre-violence indicators, basic combat/concealed carry certification, stance and movement, basic close quarter combat (CQC) strikes, weapon retention, basic draw and weapon handling at close range and methods of effective shot delivery. It also includes stress firing, one- and two-handed drills (shooting, reloading, clearing, stoppage, tactical reloads), multiple target engagements, shooting in densely-populated areas, using cover while shooting, physical and mental conditioning and developing speed and coordination.
*Pre-requisite Concealed Carry Certification/Combat Handgun Level I
Long Gun to Handgun Transition Level I
This is a basic course of transitioning from pistol to long gun. The student will shoot on the move both indoors and outdoors as an individual. This course has a difficulty rating of moderate. Students should be capable of getting into and out of kneeling, sitting and prone positions and moving at a brisk pace through several outdoor simulators.

Long Gun to Handgun Transition Level II
This class goes beyond the basics of the pistol and carbine and delves into working as a team with both weapons systems. You will work as an individual and as a team. Training includes: vehicle bailouts, shooting on the move, team movement, emergency medical procedures, bounding/break contact and bounding over watch. This course has a difficulty rating of moderate. Students should be capable of getting into and out of kneeling, sitting, prone and supine positions, getting into and out of vehicles numerous times and moving at a brisk pace through several outdoor simulators.
*Pre-requisite is Long Gun to Handgun Transition Level
Home Defense I
This is a non-shooting 4-hour course. It teaches students the basic knowledge and skills of safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. Students are taught NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the a Home Firearm Safety handbook, Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure and course completion certificate.

Refuse to be a Victim
This is a non-shooting course. You will learn personal safety tips and techniques needed to avoid dangerous situations and to AVOID BEING A VICTIM. Some of the topics discussed are: know what criminals look for in a victim, creating a safe room, home and phone security, carjack avoidance techniques, automobile and travel security, personal and technological security, use of various personal safety devices (tasers, stun guns, batons, pepper spray), home invasions and burglary, use of bump keys and prevention, security window film, the 6 second garage door break-in and how to prevent it and malls and parking garage safety concerns.

To work as an armed security officer in the State of Florida students are required to complete the Florida G License firearms training course. To apply for armed security jobs for a contract security agency, you should already have or be in the process of applying for the Florida Unarmed Security Officer “D” license.

The Florida class G security license requires 28 Hours of classroom training by a licensed firearms instructor (K) at a licensed firearms school.

Note: According to the State of Florida, applicants for the Florida armed security license must be at least 18 years of age to work armed security and 21 years of age to carry concealed. They must also have no disqualifying criminal history, mental health history and be legally allowed to work in the United States.

We can provide the following equipment for our students: duty belts, magazines and speed loader pouches, firearms for classroom training, training aides and ear and eye protection for an additional charge.
If you are bringing a handgun to the course, the weapon should be brought to the range unloaded and encased. All student weapons will be subjected to a safety inspection prior to live fire. NO AMMUNITION OR WEAPONS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM WITHOUT INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL!

Florida Class G Armed Security Officer 4 Hour Annual Re-certification:
Florida G License renewal is bi-annual, however, G Licensees must qualify once a year to maintain the license. Failure to complete the annual 4-hour G re-certification will suspend the license and students will be required by the State of Florida to complete the entire 28-hour G course.

Sean Collins, a naturalized Irish Jamaican of Native American blood who grew up in Miami, Florida, has over 38 years of military, security, investigative, law enforcement and training experience. Before retiring, he was a New York certified police officer and a law enforcement and security officer trainer. As a U.S. Marine Infantryman, law enforcement officer and current security and firearms trainer he has attended and conducted numerous military, security and law enforcement courses throughout the United States and abroad.
Joe Walsh, an Irish Puerto Rican, and Rosendale, New York native, is a 25-year law enforcement officer. Before retiring, he was a New York police officer and police officer and security officer / civilian firearms trainer. He has a background in defensive tactics having trained with Floyd Patterson and was a boxing bantam weight fighter in the United States, Canada and Ireland. Because of his passion for justice for women, Joe has also been a R.A.D. “Rape Awareness Defense” Instructor for over 15 years and is credited with bringing the program to his and other New York police departments. Joe was also a coach at the Floyd Patterson boxing club in Highland, New York.
Lisa Ivanenok, a first-generation Russian American, grew up in the Northeast United States. After graduating from Cornell University, she worked in Manhattan New York as the art director for numerous national publications and consulting firms before switching to the nonprofit world. With over 25 years of Kundalini yoga and martial arts / self-defense experience, she now works alongside her husband Sean, as the administrative, marketing and business expert in the company.

- Firearms can be provided if necessary for an additional cost.
- Holsters – If you have no equipment, we will provide holsters.
- Cleaning equipment will be provided to use during training.
- You will need a quality leather or nylon pants belt, notebook, pen and pencil and a baseball hat.
- Appropriate clothing for seasonal or inclement weather (hot, cold, rain). Pants should allow movement and shirts should fit snugly around the neck area.
- Bring meals and snacks that can be eaten during training.
- Eye and ear protection (can be provided).
- Knee and elbow pads (optional).
- Bring water bottle or hydration device.
Ammunition provided with course registration:
- It is preferred you have a personal handgun of police quality chambered in .38 special (SPL), 357 magnum (MAG), 9mm, .40 caliber or .45 automatic cartridge pistol (ACP). This is so you become familiar with your carry sidearm. A minimum of two magazines or two speed loaders/speed strips is required.
- Ammunition is included for 22 caliber firearms and for certain course. Please confirm with instructors.
*No alcohol or drugs allowed at any time during training. If you are taking prescription medication that could affect your safe handling of a firearm please inform the instructor prior to the beginning of the course.
*No modified firearms are acceptable for any course. Our philosophy is that you should purchase a good quality and proven weapon, and train with it until the usage becomes second nature. Good quality weapons can be purchased used for very reasonable prices.
*Only United States citizens and permanent residents are eligible (certain foreign embassy personnel may be eligible). This is Florida State law.
*To pass the Basic CCW Course, you are required to show competent weapons handling and basic safety skills. We believe responsible firearm possession and carry begins with the proper training and certification of the responsible citizen. Don’t worry, if you’re not satisfied with your level of instruction you can have your money back! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
How to Apply for My Permit
Please click on the link below to print the initial application and obtain your “T” number to take to the Department of Agriculture.
Once you have this, contact them at their local office and make an appointment. Upon arrival they will fingerprint and photograph you and accept your payment for the license.
